International Association for the Study of Pain® (IASP®) International Association for the Study of Pain® (IASP®)
     IASP is the largest multidisciplinary international association in the field of pain. Founded in 1973, IASP is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to furthering research on pain and improving the care of patients with pain. Membership in IASP is open to scientists, physicians, dentists, psychologists, nurses, physical therapists, and other health professionals actively engaged in pain research and to those who have special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Currently IASP has 6744 individual members from 107 countries.

American Pain Society American Pain Society
     The American Pain Society is a multidisciplinary organization of basic and clinical scientists, practicing clinicians, policy analysts, and others. The mission of the American Pain Society is to advance pain-related research, education, treatment and professional practice.

American Academy of Pain Management American Academy of Pain Management
     It is the intent of the American Academy of Pain Management to bring together the many professionals who work with individuals in pain and to assist in the creation of quality services for those individuals.

     The mission of the Academy is to credential multidisciplinary pain practitioners, to develop standards, to enhance education and to promote legislative advocacy in the field of pain management.

American Academy of Minimally Invasive Spinal Medicine and Surgery (AAMISMS) American Academy of Minimally Invasive Spinal Medicine and Surgery (AAMISMS)
     The mission of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) is to promote quality care of patients with pain as a symptom of disease (eudynia) and primary pain disease (maldynia) through research, education, and advocacy, and through the advancement of the specialty of Pain Medicine.

The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP)
     "The Voice of Interventional Pain Management", ASIPP promotes the development and practice of safe, high quality, cost-effective interventional pain management techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders, and ensures patient access to these interventions.

International Spinal Injection Society International Spinal Injection Society
     The International Spinal Injection Society is an association of physicians interested in the development, implementation and standardization of percutaneous techniques for the precision diagnosis of spinal pain. By constituting a forum for the exchange of ideas, by undertaking research, and by holding public lectures, the association seeks to consolidate developments in diagnostic needle procedures, to identify and resolve persisting controversies, to publicize developments, and to recommend standards of practice based on scientific data.

Society of Behavioral Medicine Society of Behavioral Medicine
     The Whole is Greater than the Sum of Its Parts. That's the perfect metaphor for the Society of Behavioral Medicine, a multidisciplinary, non-profit organization founded in 1978. Each part, each discipline, can stand alone. But together -- when nursing, psychology, medicine and public health form an interdisciplinary team -- new perspectives emerge on human behavior, health and illness. SBM provides the many disciplines represented with an interactive network for education and collaboration on common research, clinical and public policy concerns related to prevention, diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation, and health promotion.
